Apache Junction Unified School District
The district was formed in 1952. Enrollment is drawn from a 217 square-mile area, which includes the City of Apache Junction, Gold Canyon and Queen Valley. Eight schools serve the student population. The Apache Junction Unified School District was the first school district in the nation to be fully accredited K-12 by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
The district’s comprehensive educational plan uses techniques which combine teamwork, technology and thinking skills. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities support development of well-rounded individuals. Students are encouraged to excel, and both the graduation rate and the number of students continuing in post-secondary schools rises each year.
